The galvanized steel sheet is one having a maximum crest height, Rp, of 4.0 to 20.0 μm and an arithmetic mean roughness, Ra, of 0.3 to 2.0 μm on the surface of galvanizing layer as defined in JIS B 0601 as measured by a stylus surface roughness meter defined in JIS B 0651, characterized in that an arithmetic mean roughness, Ra (crest), obtained by measuring of a region of evaluation length 20 μm of a crest portion of height equal to or greater than 80% of Rp by means of an electron beam three-dimensional roughness analyzer is at least 70% of an arithmetic mean roughness, Ra (average), obtained by measuring, by means of the electron beam three-dimensional roughness analyzer, of a region of evaluation length 20 μm of a portion of height falling within ±20% of an average line as a center obtained by the stylus surface roughness meter.</p>
