PURPOSE: A method for making raw gruel and the raw gruel thereof are provided to input rich and water into a retort pouch and seal and heat it, thereby simultaneously cooking and sterilizing rice. CONSTITUTION: Main substances selected from a group made of rice, red beans, mung beans, and pumpkins are washed. Main substances 25 to 60 weight% and water 40 to 75 weight% are inputted into a retort pouch and sealed. The sealed retort pouch is heated at 90 to 125°C for 10 to 45 minutes. The heated retort pouch is cooled. The sealed retort pouch is heated at 90 to 100°C for 5 to 20 minutes. The heated retort pouch is heated at 95 to 125°C for 5 to 25 minutes.
