PURPOSE: A counterfeit paper money determining method, a device thereof, and a discriminator thereof are provided to accurately determine whether a paper is authentic regardless of the influence of magnetic force attenuation and natural decolorization due to the used time of a paper. CONSTITUTION: A counterfeit paper money sensing unit(140) senses the physical properties of paper money. A magnetic force sensing unit(150) senses the magnetic property of the paper currency. A color sensing unit(160) senses the color characterization of the paper currency. A signal processing unit(120) firstly determines whether paper money is authentic according to the physical property of the paper money and secondly determines whether the money is authentic and sort of bank note according to a magnetic sensing signal and a color sensing signal.
