<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particulate water absorbent showing excellent absorption ability for liquid such as urine and a sanitary material using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The particulate water absorbent contains a water absorbing resin which is a crosslinked polymer of water soluble unsaturated monomer, the particulate water absorbing resin having particulate diameters from 106μm or more to below 850μm is contained at the amount of not less than 90 mass% for all the mass of the water absorbing resin. In (Formula 1): (salt concentration absorption index)=(absorbing rate under pressure of 4.83 kPa for a fixed salt concentration aqueous solution)/(absorbing rate under no load for the fixed salt concentration aqueous solution), a primary salt concentration absorption index which is a salt concentration absorption index when the fixed salt concentration aqueous solution is ion exchange water is to be not less than 0.60. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
