<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely execute properly the merging and orientation of a sheet after processing by a plurality of printing engines. <P>SOLUTION: This sheet buffering and inverting device includes a sheet conveying passage 110 and a plurality of sheet inverting passages 120 connected to the sheet conveying passage 110. Each of the sheet inverting passages 120 includes a first gate 121 for changing a direction of the sheet so that a first end may be conveyed into the sheet inverting passage 120, a sheet conveying device 125. The sheet buffering and inverting device includes: the sheet conveying device 125 in which the sheet is conveyed in a direction separated from the sheet conveying passage 110 until at least a second end is stored in the sheet inverting passage 120, the sheet inverting passage 120 holds the sheet, and subsequently the sheet is changed in a direction to be inserted into a stream and is returned to the sheet conveying passage 110; and a second gate 122 for guiding the sheet in the inverted state of the direction of the sheet to be inserted into the stream again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
