<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve miniaturization and electric power saving simultaneously with respect to an optical modulator module. <P>SOLUTION: The optical modulator module 101 includes an optical modulator 100 which includes a substrate 1, an optical waveguide 2, a center electrode 4 for applying voltage for optical modulation, and ground electrodes 5a, 5b, wherein the optical waveguide 2 includes an input optical waveguide 2a, a branch optical waveguide 2b, optical waveguides 1c1, 2c3 for mutual operation, a joined waveguide 2d, joined point 2g, and an output optical waveguide 2e, and high order mode light to which phase modulated light is joined is not almost propagated in the output light waveguide 2e and emitted from the joined point 2g as emission light 6a, 6b; a capillary 14; a photodetector 9 receiving the radiation light 6a, 6b; and a case 12 housing the capillary 14 and the photodetector 9, wherein the case 12 is formed so that the inner wall plane 13 reflects the emission light 6a, 6b, the photodetector is arranged at a position at which the emission light 6a, 6b reflected by the inner wall plane 13 are received. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
