PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin composition which excels in light absorption loss and is suitably used in optical applications, particularly in a film for liquid crystal reflectors. SOLUTION: The polyester resin composition comprising a repeating unit of ethylene terephthalate contains 1-10 ppm titanium chelate compound in terms of titanium, 0.0002-0.01 mol% aldehydic acid based on all acid components, and 20-150 ppm phosphite compound having an acetal ring in terms of phosphorus and meets formula (I): 5≤P/AA≤40 [wherein P is a content of phosphorus; AA is a content of the aldehydic acid; and the unit is mol% (based on the polyester resin composition)].
