PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a problem that, in a conventional art, similar character strings cannot be associated with a large number of images photographed in a similar place while alleviating a burden of a user. SOLUTION: An image editing device 10 includes: a photographed information acquiring section 1 for acquiring data of an image to be edited that have been captured by photographing, and range specifying information for specifying an imaging target area of the image; an area specifying section 4 for specifying an imaging target area of the image on the basis of the acquired range specifying information; a character string acquiring section 5 for acquiring a character string associated with an imaging target area overlapping with the imaging target area specified by the area specifying section 4 from a database 6 storing character strings and image target areas in accordance with each other; and an editing section 8 for making the acquired character string associated with the image.
