PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device capable of processing data just as if an attachable/detachable recording medium is being loaded even when the attachable/detachable recording medium is not being loaded. SOLUTION: A recorder 100 includes a driving section 300 having a storage section 340. The driving section 300 writes data into the storage section 340 when an interface section 310 acquires a write-in instruction including a disk-specifying information and a first area-specifying information together with data being an object for writing, and also the driving section includes a drive controller 320 for registering a second area-specifying information specifying an area of the storage section 340 where the data are written, to a map table by associating the second area-specifying information with the disk-specifying information and the first area-specifying information.
