PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly precisely predict, when analyzing the fracture of a target object by a finite element method, the development direction of the fracture. SOLUTION: The finite element model generation device includes: obtaining a basic finite element grid as a base concerning a target object for analyzing the fracture of the target object; preparing for the same finite element grid as a prescribed basic finite element grid included in a range whose fracture analysis should be performed separately from the prescribed basic finite element grid; rotating the prepared finite element grid by a prescribed angle to the prescribed basic finite element grid so that the grid array direction of the prepared finite element grid is prevented from being matched with the grid array direction of the prescribed basic finite element grid; forming one or more auxiliary finite element grids different from each other; joining one or more auxiliary finite element grids with the prescribed basic finite element grid to obtain an integrated finite element grid for forming the finite element grid for fracture analysis; and setting the material characteristics based on at least the configurations of the formation of the auxiliary finite element grid by the auxiliary grid formation part.
