PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device or the like that facilitates changing a pressing state exerted by the spring of a pressing mechanism for pressing a pressure rotator to a heat rotator, thereby preventing the occurrence of creases in a recording medium in fixing. SOLUTION: The fixing device includes; the pressing mechanism for pressing the pressure rotator to the heat rotator utilizing a plurality of springs installed and distributed to both end sides in the rotation axis direction of the pressure rotator, and a switching mechanism for switching between a first pressing state and a second pressing state different in pressing force for pressing the pressure rotator to the heat rotator by the pressing mechanism. Either the pressure rotator or the heat rotator includes an endless belt, a pushing body forming a fixing processing unit by pushing the endless belt on a corresponding surface part of either rotator from an inner peripheral surface side of the endless belt, and a pushing supporting member rotatably supporting the endless belt and also supporting the pushing body. A portion of the pushing body supported by the pushing supporting member to push the endless belt on the heat rotator and a portion thereof to press the endless belt on the other part of the heat rotator are changed between the first pressing state and the second pressing state.
