PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white polyester film for a reflection plate that is improved in durability of the white polyester film for a reflection plate as well as a peripheral member by absorbing ultraviolet ray, and to provide a white polyester film for a reflection plate which is inexpensive and has high performance since it costs much by a conventional method. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a white polyester film for a reflection plate characterized in that the polyester film for the reflection plate which is≥97% in average reflection factor on at least one surface and has fine pores in an internal layer is subjected to impregnation/adsorption in a solvent prepared by dissolving or dispersing an organic light stabilizer in one or more kinds of solvent selected out of alcohol, ester, and ketone having a boiling point of≥100°C, the organic light stabilizer has a continuous distribution from a film surface layer, and the total content of the organic light stabilizer is 0.02 to 20 mass% for the total mass of the polyester film.
