PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stainless steel strip excellent in spring characteristics and die wear resistance. SOLUTION: The die wear resistance stainless steel strip is excellent in the spring characteristics, wherein the silicon (Si) concentration of a surface is ≤5 mass%, while the oxygen (O) concentration of the surface is preferably ≤10 mass%, and the maximum roughness R<SB>Z</SB>is ≤1 μm.
