<p>The method involves providing the fuel injection system (1) with an injection nozzle (2) connected to the exhaust gas system. The pressure in the educt (4) is lowered for closure of an injection process at an inlet side (14) of the injection nozzle. A stripping of the injection nozzle takes place with exhaust gas from the exhaust gas system. The injection nozzle is connected with the educt tank (3) at the inlet side. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an injection system for injecting a liquid educt in an exhaust system; and (2) a method for cleaning the injection system.</p>
