<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier separation apparatus for separating a carrier from excess sludge containing the carrier carrying microorganisms. <P>SOLUTION: The carrier separation apparatus 1 includes: a filter cylinder 11; an outer cylinder 13 for housing the filer cylinder 11; a spiral screw 15 disposed inside the filter cylinder 11; a water-to-be-treated introducing port 14 communicating with the filter cylinder 11; and a separation liquid discharge port 17 communicating with the outer cylinder 13 and capable of discharging separation liquid containing sludge and moisture filtered by the filter cylinder 11. The filter cylinder 11 is provided, on at least a part, with a metallic filter part 12 and a carrier recovery port 16 capable of recovering the carrier separated by the filter part 12. While at least a part of water to be treated introduced from the water-to-be-treated introducing port 14 of the carrier separation apparatus 1 is made to flow spirally along the screw blades of the spiral screw 15 disposed inside the filter cylinder 11, the sludge and the moisture in the water to be treated are made to pass through the filter part 12 of the filter cylinder 11, and the carrier in the water to be treated is separated inside the filter cylinder 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
