<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injector in which its nozzle holes are more freely arranged, fuel is simultaneously supplied to the entire nozzle holes, and the stroke of a spindle is further shortened. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel injector consists of: a housing 16; a valve guide 38 fixed to the lower end of the housing 16; an injector 56 which is fixed to the lower end of the valve guide 38 and is provided with a plurality of nozzle holes 82; a spindle 88 equipped with a valve 92 moving in concert with the valve seat 50 of the valve guide 38; and a cutoff element 94 extending inside a vertical hole 80 of the injector 56 so as to reduce a volume communicating with the nozzle holes 82 when the spindle 88 is located at a closed position. Thus, the nozzle holes 82 are arranged so as to optimize the quality of fuel spry at an arbitrary height of injection, and the injector 56 with a larger number of nozzle holes 82 is designed, and hence the injection efficiency and the fuel combustion are improved without decreasing the strength of the side wall of the injector 56, to reduce the lift amount of the spindle 88. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
