PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quay crane for a container preventing impact sound and vibration when a trolley travels on a seam of a trolley rail provided on an inner side of a guarder and an inner side of a boom respectively, preventing impact sound and vibration when a traverser travels on a seam of a traverser rail provided on an outer side of the guarder and an outer side of the boom respectively, and enhancing maintenance property of the rail. SOLUTION: In the quay crane for the container including a sea side trolley, a land side trolley and the traverser for relaying the container between these trolleys, an auxiliary rail 3 is provided on the seam of respective main rails 11G, 11B, 12G, 12B on which a wheel of the trolley and a wheel of the traverser travel, and further, an auxiliary rail 3 is formed such that the wheel of the trolley or the wheel of the traverser is rollable by the main rails 11G, 11B, 12G, 12B.
