PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for manufacturing a core insulating member with a thinner thickness easily. SOLUTION: A core insulating member is for insulating a coil wound around a core and has a slot insulation part 51 for insulating the slots of the core and a core edge insulation part 52 for insulating an edge in a slot extending direction of the core. A method of manufacturing the core insulating member includes steps of performing drawing on a sheet body 50 of a resin sheet to form a drawn part 510 including at least a specific surface for the core edge insulation part, a folding-in step of folding the sheet body in a direction opposite to the projecting direction of the drawn part so that the sheet body may have a cross-sectional shape conforming to the cross-sectional shape of the slots to create the slot insulation part, and a folding-back step of folding back the specific surface in the drawn part to create the core edge insulation part.
