PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load drive device capable of driving a load continuously during resetting other than power-on resetting, and preventing load drive until a signal for driving the load for example is supplied during the power-on resetting, and a load drive controller having the load drive device. SOLUTION: In the load drive device, a differentiator including a capacitor C1 and a resistor R1 which are connected in series between a power supply line BL and ground potential differentiates a rise of a voltage of the power supply line BL, and based on the voltage which is thus differentiated, an FETQ1 which is connected between the side of input terminals 221, 231 of resistors R4, R14 for pulling up the input terminals 221, 231 to the power supply line BL and the ground potential through diodes D3, D13 is conducted until a signal for driving loads L1, L2 is supplied from input/output ports 35, 36 to at least the input terminals 221, 231.
