摘要 Disclosed is a method for producing an electrode for fuel cells, wherein an electrode having high power generation characteristics can be produced by increasing the utilization efficiency of the catalyst particle surface by increasing the contact area between the polymer electrolyte and catalyst particles, thereby increasing the area of the three phase interface. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing an electrode for fuel cells, which comprises: a step of forming a catalyst porous structure by binding catalyst particles and porous carbon particles onto a base; a step of preparing an electrolyte precursor mixture that contains a polymerizable electrolyte precursor and a solvent; a step of forming a catalyst-electrolyte precursor composite by impregnating the catalyst porous structure with the electrolyte precursor mixture; and a step in which a water-insoluble polymer electrolyte layer that is composed of a polymer of the polymerizable electrolyte precursor is formed by performing a polymerization reaction of the polymerizable electrolyte precursor in the catalyst-electrolyte precursor composite, thereby obtaining an electrode for fuel cells containing the base, the catalyst particles, the porous carbon particles and the polymer electrolyte layer.
