<p>The present invention relates to a box element (1) for use in joining two building elements, wherein the box element comprises a main body (10), an end (16) which, in a mounted state, is arranged facing out from the building element, and a first flange (17) that extends in a direction radial in relation to the longitudinal axis and is connected to an outer side of the main body (11), wherein the first flange (17) is arranged at a distance from the end (16) and adapted for abutment against a portion of the building element and where the relative distance between the first flange (17) and the end (16) is such that the end (16), in a mounted state, will be located at a distance from the building element, and that the main body (10) comprises at least one fastening device (18), the main body (10) and the fastening device (18) being so configured that a second flange (20) can be introduced over the end (16) and secured to the main body (10), such that a membrane sheet of the building element, during mounting of the box element, can be sandwiched between the first and second flange (17, 20) thereby forming a substantially leak-proof connection.
