PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a highly interesting image by giving motion to an image after combination.

SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 100 comprises: a motion detecting unit 8f; and an image combining unit 8g. On the basis of motion image data recording a moving subject, the motion detecting unit 8f detects "motion information" of the subject and the image combining unit 8g produces a composite motion picture by combining a subject cut-out image and a background image for predetermined motion in the subject region of the subject cut-out image while reflecting the "motion information" detected by the motion detecting unit.
