PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display device capable of calculating and displaying an accurate remaining battery capacity of a rechargeable secondary battery. SOLUTION: In the information display device includes a nonvolatile display part which maintains the display of information, even when power supply from a power source is interrupted, a display processing part which performs rewriting processing of display contents in the nonvolatile display part, the device further includes a charging part which charges a battery used as the power source; a charging-completion detection part which detects the completion of charging of the battery by the charging part; a number-of-rewriting-times counting part which, after detecting the completion of charging of the battery by the charging-completion detection part, counts the number of times of rewriting processing performed by the display processing part; a remaining battery capacity deriving part which derives the information on the remaining battery capacity, based on the number of times of rewriting processing; and a remaining battery capacity display processing part which performs the display processing of the information on the remaining battery capacity derived by the remaining battery capacity deriving part.
