<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means which suppresses disturbance of current distribution on the surface of a lithium secondary battery negative electrode, and can improve durability of the negative electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The negative electrode 100 for lithium ion secondary battery comprises a current collector 101, a first active material layer 102 which is formed on the current collector and has an alloy system material containing an element capable of alloying with lithium and a conductive material, a second active material layer 103 which is formed on the first active material layer and has a material capable of storing and releasing lithium other than the alloy system material.
