<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game device capable of normally changing a shortest route or fastest route on a course and enabling a player to enjoy strategy of taking a course. <P>SOLUTION: The game device for playing a game which competes for order of arrival on the course formed in a virtual space includes: a means for determining a region of a course corresponding to a position of a moving object that is moved in response to a player's operation; a speed deciding means for deciding a movable speed of the moving object based on a resistor value set to the region; and a means for decreasing the resistance value set within a range of the course corresponding to the position of the moving object.
