摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a varistor material able to be sintered at low temperatures, and excellent in varistor reliability. <P>SOLUTION: This varistor material contains a main component consisting of zinc oxide and cobalt oxide. In the whole of the main component, the content of zinc oxide is 93.0-98.5 mol% in terms of ZnO, and the content of cobalt oxide is 1.5-7.0 mol% in terms of CoO. In the whole of the main component, the content of bismuth oxide as a sub-component is 0.1-3.0 mass% in terms of Bi<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, the content of tin oxide is 0.1-1.0 mass% in terms of SnO<SB>2</SB>, the content of aluminum oxide is 0.001-0.05 mass% in terms of Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, the sum of the content of praseodymium oxide in terms of Pr<SB>6</SB>O<SB>11</SB>and the content of yttrium oxide in terms of Y<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>is 0.1-1.0 mass%, the content of antimony oxide is not more than 0.2 mass% in terms of Sb<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, the content of manganese oxide is not more than 0.1 mass% in terms of MnO<SB>2</SB>, and the total content of the sub-components in the whole of the main component is not more than 5.0 mass%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
