METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HOLOGRAPHIC POLYMER DISPERSION LIQUID CRYSTAL OPTICAL ELEMENT, AND OPTICAL ELEMENT MANUFACTURED BY THE MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a holographic polymer dispersion liquid crystal optical element, which manufactures a high-quality optical element without containing organic solvent, moisture or the like. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a holographic polymer dispersion liquid crystal optical element comprises steps of: forming a sealing member 16 between a first base material and a second base material; injecting a holographic polymer dispersion liquid crystal material 17 into a space formed by the first base material, the second base material and the sealing member 16; applying a sealing agent 18 for sealing the space; curing the sealing agent 18 by irradiating the sealing agent 18 with light having a first wavelength characteristic; exposing the holographic polymer dispersion liquid crystal material 17 by irradiation of object light having a wavelength characteristic different from the first wavelength characteristic and reference light having a wavelength characteristic different from the first wavelength characteristic.
