BASE STATION CONTROLLER, AND BASE STATION COOPERATIVE COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand an area enabling base station cooperative communications in which a plurality of base stations cooperate in performing communications with mobile stations, and to perform base station cooperative communications depending on the state of radio communications. SOLUTION: A base station cooperative portion 10 is provided per base station 1, and the cell of each base station 1 is segmented into a cooperative area as a target of base station cooperative communication and a non-cooperative area not a target of a base station cooperative communication. Upon receiving an cooperative communication request from a base station controller of another base station when the non-cooperative area is selected, the base station cooperative portion 10 determines whether or not base station cooperative communication area should be performed in the cooperative communication on the basis of an evaluation value of a single site connection capacity in the selected non-cooperative area and an evaluation value of a multi-site connection capacity in the cooperative area for the received cooperative communication request.
