PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine responding to large size of a clutch while suppressing projection out of a power transmission part in a downstream side of the clutch, and suppressing longitudinal length of an engine. SOLUTION: The centrifugal clutch 80 is provided between a crank case 24 and a belt type continuously variable transmission 60, and in a position where it overlaps a weight part 51D of a crankshaft 51 in side view.
