PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil and sand loading device capable of being inexpensively manufactured, without limiting usable transport ships. SOLUTION: This soil and sand loading device 1 transports soil and sand from a soil and sand hopper 3 to the transport ship 4 moored at a quay wall 2. The soil and sand loading device 1 includes a traveling rail 10 laid in a direction intersecting the quay wall 2, a carriage 20 traveling on the traveling rail 10, a conveyor 30 installed in the carriage 20 and a counterweight 40 installed on a side of a base end part of the carriage 20. The base end part of the conveyor 30 is located just under the soil and sand hopper 3 and a distal end part of the conveyor 30 is projected from the quay wall 2. By moving the carriage 20 forward or backward, a projecting length of the conveyor 30 from the quay wall 2 is adjusted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
