PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment for diagnosing the inside of a chimney, which can accurately and efficiently perform internal diagnosis, for example, of a deteriorated state of an internal wall of the chimney in a high-heat state. SOLUTION: In a heat-resistant container 1, a television camera 7, which takes an image of the internal wall of the chimney A from windows provided on the four sides of the peripheral wall of the heat-resistant container 1, is arranged; and a slewing control device 9 for the heat-resistant container 1 is provided to bring about the state of constantly directing the shooting direction of each television camera 7 in a fixed direction. In addition, dry ice 4a is stored in the bottom of the heat-resistant container 1; the heat-resistant container 1 is suspended in the chimney A by a crane while being cooled by its vaporized cold air; the image taken by the television camera 7 in the position of the ascent/descent of the heat-resistant container 1 is recorded while the heat-resistant container 1 is lifted/lowered in the chimney A; and the deteriorated state of the inside of the chimney is diagnosed.
