ADJUSTABLE EXTRA-OCULAR MUSCLE IMPLANT

There is an implantable device for adjusting eye alignment. A first connector is attachable to a rectus muscle of an eye. A second connector is attachable to one of the sclera of the eye and a second part of the rectus muscle. The first and second connectors are adjustably connected to each other to provide an adjustable rectus muscle length. Once the implantable device is installed, the effective rectus muscle length may be varied without requiring a general anesthetic. There is a method of adjusting eye alignment. The first connector is attached to the rectus muscle of the eye. The second connector is attached to one of the sclera of the eye and a second part of the rectus muscle. The connection between the first and second connectors may be adjusted to modify the adjustable rectus muscle length.
