<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiving device for improving usability for a user by subjecting a plurality of recorded programs to preview display at the same time, and to provide a program playback method. <P>SOLUTION: The broadcast receiving device includes a recording and playback means to store a plurality of program data received by a plurality of reception means 102-172 in a recording medium, read the plurality of program data recorded in the recording medium, and output a video signal for displaying information of times at which data to be displayed out of the plurality of program data recorded in the recording medium have been recorded, a program list including a time axis and a channel axis, a plurality of display units CH having a plurality of program data recorded at the same time displayed at the same time and arranged around the program list, and a time bar for showing, on the program list, positions of pieces of information of times at which data to be displayed on the plurality of display units have been recorded.
