PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a length sorting device of a long material capable of simultaneously feeding constant length materials and short materials while mixing the materials. SOLUTION: The length sorting device includes a length measuring means 2, a decision means 3, a sorting means 4, a constant length non-defective article conveying means 5, short non-defective article conveying means 6a and 6b and defective article conveying means 7a and 7b connected to the sorting means 4, a non-defective article conveying means 8 connected to the constant length non-defective article conveying means 5 and the short non-defective article conveying means 6a and 6b, a non-defective article collection material means 9 connected to the non-defective article conveying means 8, a defective article collection material means 10 connected to the defective article conveying means 7a and 7b, a defective article relief means 11 connected to the defective article conveying means 7a and 7b, and a relief article conveying means 12 for conveying a constant length non-defective article (A) and a short non-defective article (B) relieved by the defective article relief means 11. The relief article conveying means 12 is connected to the short non-defective article conveying means 6a and 6b, and the short non-defective article conveying means 6a and 6b include temporary storage means of the short non-defective article (B).
