PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejector which avoids an increase of a printing time so as to suppress power consumption and can achieve energy saving. SOLUTION: The liquid ejector includes an inkjet head 40, cartridges 30-33, a carriage 5 which carries the inkjet head 40 and moves back and forth in a right-left direction, tubes 20-23 which make the inkjet head 40 communicate with the cartridges 30-33respectively, and power generating units 100-103. The power generating units 100-103 have housings 120 with internal spaces 121; a water wheel 124 which is arranged in the internal channel 121 and rotated when an ink flows in the internal channel 121 with a vane 126 colliding against the ink that flows in the internal channel 121; and a power generating part 116 having a magnet 114 and a coil 115 disposed so that one is connected with the water wheel 124 and the other is set in an immobile state while generating an induced current to the coil 115 when the one moves associatively by rotation of the water wheel 124.
