PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phenolic resin molding material that can give a molded article excellent in mechanical strength and cold impact resistance, and to provide a resin pulley molded of the material. SOLUTION: The phenolic resin molding material contains (A) a novolac type phenolic resin, (B) resol type phenolic resin, (C) glass fiber, (D) an elastomer and (E) polyhydric alcohol, wherein the content of each component with respect to the whole material is as follows: 25 to 40 wt.% of the total of the (A) novolac type phenolic resin and the (B) resol type phenolic resin; 45 to 65 wt.% of the (C) glass fiber; 1 to 6 wt.% of the (D) elastomer and 0.5 to 3 wt.% of the (E) polyhydric alcohol.
