PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently treat a chemical agent filled within a shell by limited payload, in an object to be blasted in which only the chemical agent is filled within the shell and an object to be blasted with weak blasting force due to deterioration of a bursting charge. SOLUTION: In this blasting method, in the object 100 to be blasted including a bombshell 101 and a chemical agent 102 filled within the bombshell 101, the bombshell 101 is cut in a predetermined cut position by detonation of an explosive 6 to expose the chemical agent 102, and the chemical agent 102 is decomposed by using the detonation. The blasting method includes a process of arranging the explosive 6 on the outer side of the bombshell 101 and detonating the explosive 6 so that a difference is generated between detonation pressures applied from the outer side to one side and the other side of the bombshell 101 sandwiching the cut position and the bombshell is cut by shearing force caused by the detonation pressure difference.
