PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom system which can check a person who has been granted admission by a lobby intercom, and a person who is currently calling by a door phone in front of each dwelling unit on a monitor. SOLUTION: The intercom system includes the lobby intercom with a camera installed in the common entrance of a multiple dwelling house to allow a visitor to call a visited dwelling unit, a dwelling unit master unit installed in each dwelling unit in order to receive a call from the lobby intercom and to grant admission of the visitor to the resident area, and an entrance slave unit with a camera installed on the outside of each dwelling unit in order to call the dwelling unit master unit. The dwelling unit master unit has a display unit which displays the images from the lobby intercom and entrance slave unit, a lobby image storage unit which stores the lobby image from the lobby intercom when the visitor is granted admission to the resident area, and a master unit control unit which controls the display unit to display the lobby image stored in the storage unit and the current image of the entrance slave unit simultaneously upon receiving a call from the dwelling unit slave unit.
