PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method capable of easily and effectively executing coating of two or more colors using a roller to a building wall surface or a building wall surface material. SOLUTION: In the multicolor coating method, when executing two-color coating to an outer wall panel 3 having recesses and projections on the surface, a first coating process of uniformly coating the first color to recessed parts 3a and projected parts 3b using a coarse roller R1 which is a long bristle reference roller having a cushioning property, whose periphery is covered by a first surface material 13, and a second coating process of configuring a joint generating roller Ra which is a second roller of shorter bristles than the coarse roller R1 by covering the coarse roller R1 by a cover Ca to be a second surface material and coating the second color to the projected parts 3b while evading the recessed parts 3a by the joint generating roller Ra, are executed.
