PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio device which can automatically rearrange a music list for music retrieval by reflecting the taste of a user, and reduce the number of list scrolling times during music retrieval, thereby shorten an operational time, and to provide a music retrieval method thereof. SOLUTION: When instructed to retrieve music by an operation part M3, a control part M6 reads music information divided for each predetermined group associated with music data from a music information storage part M5. Then, a music list creation part M8 calculated the number of items of music information for each group, and rearrange the music information in order of many items to create a music list, and displays the list on a display part M10.
