The cable has separated individual rails (13), which are electrically connected with one another, where the rails have same or different cross-sectional areas between 50-250 millimeter squares. The rails have a height of less than or approximately 4 millimeters, preferably between 1 to 4 millimeters and have a flat rectangular cross section. The rails overlap each other in a connecting point. A connecting unit is provided between the rails and is formed in such a manner that the connecting unit causes a mechanical breaking of a oxide layer on the surface of the rails during screwing. An independent claim is also included for a cable channel for electrically insulated retaining of a multipart high current cable.
