<p>Provided are a sound generating apparatus, a sound generating method, a sound generating program, and a recording medium that enable even a user who is a novice musical instrument player to produce sounds which are not discordant to musical sounds, thereby ensuring an ad-lib session with the musical sounds. The sound generating apparatus analyzes a reproduced musical sound, determines a sound element which matches the musical sound on the basis of the analysis result, assigns the determined sound element to an operator to be operated by the user, stores operator information indicating the operator and sound element information indicating the sound element assigned to the operator and associated with the operator information, acquires the stored sound element information when operation of the operator is detected during reproduction of the musical sound, and generates sound corresponding to the sound element indicated by the acquired sound element information.</p> |
