VISIBLE LIGHT COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visible light communication system that enables transmission and reception of multimedia data with large capacity, and that does not spoil the function as an illuminator.

SOLUTION: The visible light communication system has: a modulator that modulates data to be transmitted by QAM system to generate a QAM modulation signal; a bias voltage generating portion that generates a predetermined bias voltage to superpose the QAM modulation signal on the bias voltage; a light-emitting element driving portion to which a voltage obtained by superposing the QAM modulation signal to the bias voltage is applied; a light-emitting element that drives according to a driving signal from the light-emitting element driving portion to emit visible light; a light-receiving element that receives the visible light emitted from the light-emitting element, and converts the visible light into the QAM modulation signal; and a demodulator that demodulates the QAM modulation signal into original data.
