<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device, a cellular phone, and a character display method and a program used in them for improving the ease of use when a user of a presbyopia age confirms character information. <P>SOLUTION: In the display device, by responding to an instruction for switching an operation mode into a presbyopia mode given by the user when a character string to be displayed is displayed in a display part 4 in a normal mode (a), a display form of the character string to be displayed is changed into a mirror face inversion form for inverting the direction and the arrangement of each character into a state that they are reflected in a mirror to display them in a display means 4 (b). By reflecting the display part 4 on any mirror, the user can confirm the character string displayed in the mirror face inversion form in a normal state that characters and a layout are normally visual, and a distance of visual confirmation from user's eyes to the display part 4 can be prolonged more than the case that the user looks at the display part 4 directly in the normal state at the same time. Consequently, even if the user of the presbyopia age does not carry his/her convex glasses, aged people can read the character string displayed in the display part 4 with ease by using any mirror near at the hand. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
