<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc brake capable of securing favorable mechanical efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The disc brake is equipped with a rotation regulating mechanism 34A including a locking gear 44, a lever 54 and a coil spring 56. When a second reduction gear 43 (one rotary member) rotates in a direction to release the thrust of a piston 12, the lever 54 is moved from a first position to a second position by the second reduction gear 43 (one rotary member). Then, when a third reduction gear 41 rotates in a direction to release the thrust of the piston 12 and a ball-lamp mechanism 28 has returned to a non-braking position, the lever is moved from the second position to the first position by the third reduction gear 41. The rotation regulating mechanism 34A including a locking gear 44, the lever 54 and the coil spring 56 performs the self-holding action of a brake force for attaining a hand brake function and improves mechanical efficiency as compared with the case that a worm reducer adopted by a conventional art assumes the self-holding action of the brake force, thereby enabling energy saving. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
