PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently navigate to noteworthy points on a route based on a whole picture of an entire route, particularly navigation object intersections around a point of departure. SOLUTION: A navigation device searching for a route from a present location to a destination to navigate, includes a destination setting means 1, a present location detecting means 2, a display means 6 for displaying a map, a route search means 4a for searching for a route to the destination set by the destination setting means, and a control means 4b for displaying through the display means information of the route searched for by the route search means to navigate, the control means displaying the entire searched route, and then, gradually enlarging a scale to display important navigation points on the route.
