PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container quay crane which prevents collisions between trolley wheels and rail ends when a trolley travels a joint between the rail of a girder and the rail of a boom, and which improves ease of maintenance of these rails. SOLUTION: The container quay crane includes: a crane body capable of traveling along a quay; the girder G extended to the island side and the sea side of the crane body and fixed to the crane body; the boom B connected via a hinge part disposed at the distal end of the girder G adjacent to the sea side; and the trolley which travels laterally on the rails 13 and 14 respectively disposed in the girder G and the boom B, and includes a lifting device of a container. An auxiliary rail 11 for transferring the wheels of the trolley from these rails 13 and 14 to the joint Tu between the rail 13 of the girder G and the rail 14 of the boom B is disposed along these rails 13 and 14.
