<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical sound generating device capable of giving variable and realistic changes in pitch and amplitude to generated musical sounds without adding a special circuit for reading pitch change waveforms or amplitude change waveforms. <P>SOLUTION: The pitch change waveforms or the amplitude change waveforms are read using a hardware configuration for reading musical sound waveforms from a waveform memory, performing amplitude control, performing mixing processes and outputting, and a pitch change or an amplitude change is given to the musical sounds with the read pitch change waveforms or amplitude change waveforms.
