METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CONDUCTIVE POLYMER COMPOUND FRACTIONATED BY MOLECULAR WEIGHT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a conductive polymer compound which is fractionated by molecular weight having various molecular weight and molecular weight distribution in accordance with demand.

SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the conductive polymer compound fractionated by molecular weight includes: a first step of bringing a conductive polymer compound having a molecular weight distribution into contact with a fluid such as carbon dioxide in a supercritical or subcritical state to dissolve a low molecular weight conductive polymer compound in the fluid; a second step of recovering the low molecular weight conductive polymer compound from the fluid in which the low molecular weight polymer compound obtained in the first step is dissolved; or a third step of recovering a high molecular weight conductive polymer compound from the residue remaining in the first step without dissolved. The conductive polymer compound is advantageously used for the application such as an organic EL material often requiring severe quality.
