<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller for a conveyor adopting a countermeasure for escaping static electricity generated between a conveyed article and a roller or a member in a roller body and reducing noise at transportation of the conveyed article. <P>SOLUTION: The roller 1 for the conveyor has the roller body 2 of a hollow shape and a central shaft 5 mounted to the roller body 2, and in the roller 1 for the conveyor, a bearing is interposed between the roller body 2 and the central shaft 5, and the roller body 2 and the central shaft 5 are relatively rotated.
